MY video card is an old one, but it was tested and it works. Problem is my PC wont adapt to it. I check my system and it said the card was functioning correctly--so why is it not working?
PS: there is no "off" in BIOS for my onboard card, it just gives me the option of auto or onboard.

When you first run it it'll open up a menu like this

and your VGA card will be listed with a red question mark.
From that point on you are on easy street. Just you visit the company site and grab the latest and greatest driver for your box.

In your BIOS, simply select "Auto" for graphics adapter. Save it and then reboot.
As for your graphics card that you're plugging in, you need to identify it and then download and install the drivers for it.
