I run a web hosting company and I wish to advertise in e-newsletters
that are targeted to webmasters and web designers. Please provide me a
list of reputable newsletters that accepts paid advertisement. Their
circulation should be at least 100k and they must have a valid phone
number for advertising contact (no voicemail!). Thank you.
There are a variety of options out there for you in terms of getting
your message out to webmasters via both newsletters and opt-in
marketing email services. I was able to locate a number of webmaster
targeted newsletters that have a circulation of over 100,000 and that
accept advertising:
The JimWorld Gazette (250,000 webmasters)
http://nextiva.com/mediakit/jimworld/index.html
iSubmit Newsletter (210,638 webmasters)
http://www.isubmit.com/index.php?article=advertise
The Add Me! Newsletter (500,000 webmasters)

iSyndicate Newsletter (subscriber number not mentioned, but very well
known site)

LinkExchange Daily Digest (130,000 website owners)
http://digest.bcentral.com/
Questfinder (81,000+ members)

And a subscription-based site called ezineadvertising.com to help you
find other newsletters:

Besides newsletter advertising, sending emails out to webmasters who
requested information can be done at http://www.postmasterdirect.com

You may wish to peruse this site...

Not to sign up, but to give you an idea
of what's out there.
I'll hunt for more relevant info also.

AI's suggestion was a good one. Internet.com's average newsletter
circulation is indeed below 100K, but not by much. Internet.com's
"Flash Kit," "Web Developer's Journal" and "Web Reference Update" are
reputable newsletters for professionals in this field, and whose
subscriber numbers top 100K (add up html and text subscribers). You
can find the stats here:
http://www.internet.com/mediakit/emailsponsor.html
(click on the "latest stats" icon at the bottom of the page to
download a spreadsheet grouped by audience)
Also, check out Developer Shed
(http://www.developershed.com/advertise/) and New Architect
(http://www.webtechniques.com/mediakit/) which are web developer
havens and have update newsletters. Hotwired
(http://www.lycos.com/lycosinc/advertising.html) also hosts some
popular newsletters, like "Animation Express" and "WebMonkey's Elbow
Grease" but I'm not sure about the latter's popularity these days.
Good luck!

Dear alienintelligence,
I seriously doubt Internet.com's newsletters have any large
subscribers. Anyway, here is a good example:
http://www.ineedhits.com/news/
ineedhits.com has a clear and simple sign up form and their phone
number is available. Their circulation is also verifiable by Yahoo
groups: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ineedhits/
Anybody can help me?
You might also check out Search Engine Watch, which is sent weekly.

Dear mvguy,
Sorry but I'm NOT interested in newsletters for search engine news.
ineedhits.com was just an example. Again, I'm interested in
e-newsletters that are targeted to webmasters and web designers.
I could use some help again...
