I downloaded many pics from my camera to my desktop instead of a file. Now I cant find some of them. What happens to those pictures if the desktop screen fills up?? Of course I deleted all the pics...
Well if you deleted them and emptied the recycle bin they are gone, there is software to retrieve it but its costly. Also right click on the desktop and arrange icons by any type. If the desktop gets cluttered some files will move where you cant see them. Anything saved on the desktop can be found on the "C" drive under Documents and Settings and your user name. Lastly you can run a search and type "*.jpg"
or "*.jpeg" the * means any file name. This will find everything on your computer that is of the jpg, or jpeg format.
Open windows explorer, go to your c-drive and look for "documents and settings" under there will be your username and the there should be a directory under that called desktop, all your files should be in there in a format that you can move them. Note that depending on the version of windows you have, this may be somewhere else so you may have to poke around, but they will be there somewhere.
