I am finally moving out. I want to know if I should put some pictures of my aunt and I on my wall. She and I are very close. I just want to remember that she and I have a close relationship.
Go to JoAnn Fabrics and look at the far ends of the frame section and you will find some really good, really cheep frames.
Matting is pretty inexpensive too if your photos are of 'standard' size.
You can create a BEAUTIFUL collection of photographs for under $50.00.
Even better... Take the pictures of your family and interspace them with downloaded and printed pictures of flowers or whatever your in to and it will add intrest to a 'standard' wall.
This video pretty much answers your question:

The photos are a great and inexpensive way of personalising your apartment. Mounting or framing them using thick cardboard is fairly inexpensive and can be colourful (or utilise a theme colour if you have one). Also cheap photo frames with coloured boarders are good (the boarders help to fill the frame space when the photo isn't the right size and look very good).
If you are renting you may need to check with the agency if you can put hooks in or hang pictures from the walls. You can also buy those sticky hooks that are easy to install (though sometimes they can leave a mark - though it can be removed with methylated spirits).
Congrats on your new place! I would think that if you want to put up pics of you and your aunt, and they are special... you should have them framed and boarded in frames that compliment the room you put them in. Unless you put them in an office or your bedroom, I probably wouldnt use regular frames.
I could use some help again...
