There are about 7 Billion Directory Assistance [411] calls made
annually in the U.S. I need to know the breakdown of those calls by
business category. (i.e. 10% for pizza, 8% for auto repair, 4%
restaurants). I know that 75% of calls are business queries, 15% are
white pages residential listing requests, 10% are for government
agencies.
I found tons of information about the changing directory assistance
marketplace but nothing as to what kinds of things 411 callers are
looking for. I'm not even sure that this very expensive market
research report has this information but you might want to give them a
call to check.
