Hi,
if I want to compile a program with my "Borland Delphi 6" it takes a few sec and the problem is that the program so doesn't works fine.
How to set that Outpost doesn't control Delphi 6, so that Outpost doesn't interupt Delphi?
I seted the Anti Leak Control so, but that doesn't change soethink:
(from german: "Global verwenden" = use global
"Zulassen" = allow)
Right click the network connections in the system tray and click disable.
ok thank you.
And there stay the question how to disable the Component Control only for Delphi? In the Anti leak control exclutions window is for Delphi everythink set to allow.
thank you for advice.
But for Delphi is everythink set to allow and Outpost affects Delphi drastically.
I don't want to disable the protection while working with Delphi. What ist Outpost blocking on my Delphi, which it shouldn't touch?
I have noticed that if I activate the self learning method while compilig a delphi program, deactivate when ready and then turn out Outpost (set Outpost in background mode): Delphi is working without problems.
Now I want to know what rules are changing in Outpost in self learn mode by a working delphi. Then perhaps I can configure so, that it works without going eyerytime in self learn mode.
Set all the actions to Allow by ticking the items under Action. If that doesn't help you may have to temporarily Suspend Protection [via right click of system tray icon] for a short period of time.
Why not just turn off the internet...while compiling?Might be a little inconvenient for the rest of us. :p
"Ignore Component Control" is set on a per-rule basis so yes, you can use it to exempt a single program only. I don't know whether you have to set it on all rules or whether just one is enough.
I still think it a mistake due to the possibility of errors to compile programs while having a firewall filter what its doing. Why not just turn off the internet and disable OP while compiling?
In the self learning mode everything is set to allow. That has the same effect as I suggested in post 2 above but is more global since OP will allow everything it filters.
Yes, I think it should, if I understand you correctly. Every time you compile a program OP will view it as a different one - since functionally it really is - and alert you. So either you Allow all actions or you respond to every alert of a new program. I don't think there is a middle ground.
Alteratively, you can change one of the program rules to add the "Ignore Component Control" option.
because it isn't so easy to "disable the inernet" on my worstations.
and can i ste the "Ignore Component Control" only for all prcesses in Delphi?
Component Control and AntiLeak are separate functions in Outpost - the settings for one will not affect the other.
I could use some help again...
